RockSteady is a well-established, five-piece, Cape Town-based TRIBUTE band, made up of a unique, eclectic blend of musicians with an energy and synergy that has kept audiences rocking throughout the Western Cape for the last 14 years!

 

RockSteady’s genre of choice is Rock, but they are equally at home with blues, funk, pop, reggae, country, and R&B, and with five singers in the band,  they are easily able to switch genres as needed.

 

Besides being top musicians with years of  experience, they are passionate about creating high-energy, interesting performances.

In 2018 RockSteady moved into the world of Tribute Shows and quickly established themselves as leaders in this field.

WOMAN OF ROCK 

 

The Women of Rock show has received much success throughout the Western Cape, tributing 27 women iconic women in rock music, from Janis to Joan Jett, Blondie to the Bangles, Grace Slick to Grace Jones, Tina Turner to Dolly Parton, Pattie Smith to the Pretenders and the list goes on!  Having done various shows over the years, they often draw from them and put new ideas together to keep things fresh!  

Of course, the band is just as happy to provide an evening mixing it all up and playing your favorite music between the 60,s/70,s and 80,s and even 90,s if requested!

80's TRIBUTE SHOW AND QUIZ​

RockSteady has upped the game by putting together a unique interactive musical experience with our 80's Tribute Show and Quiz. The show has been sold-out at venues all over the Western Cape. Besides paying tribute to the incredible bands and artists that we loved in the 80's the audience gets a chance to test their knowledge of the era with a short quiz with prizes. And of course, singing along with the band to your favorite songs is a mandatory.

 

YOU OUGHTA KNOW ITS THE 90’S

 

The latest RockSteady tribute show, aimed at fans who just love the music of the 90's. It' called You Oughta Know It's the 90's and features a broad cross section of artists and bands from this era. 

 

Over the past 14 years, RockSteady has filled venues such as Café Roux, Die Koelkamers, The Quarry, Die Boer, The Drama Factory, Woodstock Brewery, The Jagger Lounge, Aces & Spades, Ferryman's, Harringtons, The Beer Festival, The Sushi Festival, Porsche Club Cape, Harley Davidson Club, The Bay Sports Bar, The Royal Cape Yacht Club, and has also performed at many private functions and corporate events.
